Frequently asked questions
Is the ask page really free?
Yes. The free plan includes your public ask page, text and video questions, AI screening, and 5 answered questions a month, shareable clips included. Every paid plan lifts that limit and lets you charge for an answer if you want; the bigger ones add live events.
Is it anonymous like NGL?
No. Asking requires signing in with Apple, Google, or an email address, so questions come from accounts, not an anonymous form. Someone determined could still use a throwaway email, but the sign-in step cuts drive-by junk, AI screening catches the rest, and every asker becomes a contact you keep.
Who sees my answers?
Only the person who asked. They get a private link with their question and your video reply, and nothing is listed publicly. Anything public is a clip: one you post, or one they post. They chose when they asked whether their question could be shared at all, and you decide per answer whether they can download it - keep any one watch-only when you record it.
What happens to questions I do not answer?
Nothing. They wait in your inbox and you only ever answer the ones you want. There is no deadline, no streak, and no failure state. That holds for boosted questions too: if you do not answer one within 7 days, the asker is simply refunded and the question stays in your inbox like any other.
Can I charge for answers?
Every question is free to ask, on every plan, and that does not change. On the Creator plan and above you can also let people pay to boost a question. You still choose which ones to answer, free or boosted, and if a boosted question goes unanswered for 7 days the money is refunded to the asker automatically. On the ones you do answer, you keep 90% minus card fees, the same as tickets.
How do I record answers?
Right in your browser from your dashboard, or from the iOS or Android app. You can claim your link, collect questions, and record replies without installing anything.
What does a clip look like?
A vertical, branded video with the question on screen and your answer, ready for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Video questions appear picture-in-picture, like a TikTok video reply.
How is this different from going live?
The ask page is one-to-one and on your schedule: questions arrive anytime and you answer them alone with your phone. Live sessions are one-to-many events with an audience, tickets if you want them, and a replay. Most creators start with the ask page and go live once questions pile up.
