What is an ask page?

Your ask page is a standing public page at qawith.me/yourname where anyone can send you a question, anytime. People drop a text or video question, you record a quick video reply on your own time, and the answers you want become branded clips you can post to TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.

There's no date to set and no audience to fill. It's the lowest-friction way to start: collect questions first, and go live later when you're ready.

How it works

1. Share your link. Put qawith.me/yourname in your bio or socials.
2. Your audience asks. They send text or video questions. Every question is screened by AI for spam and inappropriate content before it reaches you.
3. You reply. Record a quick video reply or reaction, in your browser or in the app. The person who asked gets a private link to your answer.
4. Share the clip. Turn any answer into a vertical, branded social clip, ready to post.

Recording answers

Record and send answers right in your browser from your dashboard inbox, or from the iOS or Android app. Claiming your link, collecting questions, and recording replies all work without installing anything.

Answers are delivered privately, one to one to the person who asked. Only the clips you choose to share are public.

Questions per month

Each plan lets you unlock a set number of questions per month. Unlocking a question covers everything: answering it and turning the answer into a social clip.

When you've used your questions for the month, the count resets next month; unused ones don't roll over. Download clips of live-session questions count toward the same monthly number. A question that's rejected by moderation or fails to upload doesn't count against you, and trying it on yourself is free: your first question to your own page doesn't count either.

While you still have questions left, new arrivals unlock automatically. After that, questions keep arriving and wait in your inbox as locked previews (the opening words plus the video thumbnail). Unlock them when next month resets, or upgrade for a bigger monthly number. Nothing is lost, and a full inbox is proof your page is working.

Two limits keep the inbox healthy:

• Unanswered ceiling. At 25 waiting unanswered questions on Free (250 on paid plans), your page pauses new submissions. Answering questions reopens it.
• Video retention. An unanswered video question keeps its video for 30 days (90 days if it arrived locked); the question text and transcript stay either way.

Paid questions

Asking you a question is always free, and stays free on every plan. Paid questions are an option you can switch on, not a gate you put in front of your audience.

On the Creator plan and above, open Creator Settings, set your price (minimum $10), and turn on paid questions. From then on, an asker who wants to can pay to boost a question when they send it. Most will not, and that is fine: the free path is unchanged and sits right where it always did.

What the money buys is a chance at your attention, not a place in a queue. You still choose which questions to answer, free or boosted:

• Answer a boosted question within 7 days and the money is yours.
• Leave it and the asker is refunded automatically, with no action needed from either of you. Nothing happens to you: the question stays in your inbox as an ordinary free one, and you can still answer it whenever you like.

Boosted questions are pinned to the top of your inbox with the amount and the deadline showing, so the clock is never a surprise.

A boosted question does not use up one of your monthly questions. Getting paid for the work and spending your allowance on it at the same time would make no sense.

You keep 90% minus card fees, the same split as tickets. The money lands about 7 days after you publish the answer. You connect a Stripe payout account to collect it, which you can do whenever you like - it is not required to turn paid questions on. See Getting Paid.

Turning paid questions off is also the single switch that stops every email about them.

Boosting is web only for now. Your audience can pay from qawith.me/yourname in any browser; the apps show and answer these questions but do not take payments.

Can people share your answers?

Assume yes, the same way you would with a reply to an email.

When someone asks, they choose whether their question may appear in a clip. If they say no, no clip of that answer can ever be made - not by you, and not by them.

If they say yes, two things then decide whether they can download it: your ask page allows it (new pages do), and you have not locked that individual answer. You can always download your own.

That default is deliberate. They already agreed their question can be shared publicly, and their face is the one in the picture-in-picture. Withholding the file at that point protects nobody.

You can still turn it off for an individual answer. In the recorder, before you record, uncheck Let them download this answer and that one stays watch-only. Everything else is unaffected.

Two honest limits:

• This is a speed bump, not a lock. Someone determined can record their screen. It is there so that saving and reposting takes deliberate effort rather than a single tap.
• It is per answer, and it is set at record time. Decide as you go rather than trying to set a policy up front.

Moderation & privacy

Every incoming question is screened by AI before it appears in your inbox, so you only spend time on the ones worth answering. Your replies go only to the person who asked - they are never listed publicly - though see Can people share your answers? for what that person can do with theirs.

Pricing

The ask page is free. The free plan includes your public ask page, text and video questions, AI screening, and 5 answered questions a month, shareable clips included. Paid plans grow the monthly pool and unlock paid questions; the bigger ones add live events - see the pricing page for details.
