Ask Page

Your ask page is free. Anyone can open a page at qawith.me/yourname, collect text and video questions, and answer 5 questions a month at no cost, shareable clips included. No card needed to start.

The free plan is the only one with a monthly limit on answers. Every paid plan lifts it, so from the Creator plan up you can answer as many questions as you like. Answering a question covers everything - the answer itself and turning it into a social clip - and on the free plan, download clips of live-session questions count toward the same five.

Questions past your monthly five still arrive and wait in your inbox as locked previews: unlock them when the month resets, or move to a paid plan. Nothing is deleted. Answering questions during a live Q&A is never capped on any plan, free ones included.

Episodes

An episode is one finished video you make and post: a run through your own links, posts and prompts, any answers you want in it, or a single reaction to one post. However many items are in it, it counts once. Episodes have their own monthly number on every plan, and it is printed on the plan cards: Free makes 5 a month, Creator 10, and Starter, Workshop and Studio 30.

Two things never count as an episode. The clip you get for answering an audience question is included with that question, on every plan. And a draft costs nothing: an episode counts when you make it, not while you assemble or record it, so an abandoned take is free and a failed render is not charged.

Paid Questions

Asking you a question is always free, on every plan, and that never changes.

On the Creator plan and above you can additionally let people pay to boost a question. You set the price (minimum $10) and turn it on from Creator Settings; an asker can then choose to pay when they submit. What they are buying is a chance at your attention, not a place in a queue. You still choose which questions to answer, free or boosted:

• Answer a boosted question within 7 days and the money is yours.
• Leave it and the asker is refunded automatically. Nothing happens to you, and the question stays in your inbox as an ordinary free one.

A boosted question does not use up one of your monthly questions - charging for work and paying for the privilege at the same time would make no sense.

Boosting is currently web only. Your audience can pay from qawith.me/yourname in any browser; the iOS and Android apps show your questions and let you answer them, but do not take payments.

Paid Events

When you sell tickets, viewers pay to join your Q&A session. You set the price and earn money from every sale.

Fees

The platform fee is a flat 10% of your ticket price. Buyers also pay a $0.50 service fee on top of your ticket price at checkout. Stripe's payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) is deducted from your ticket price before payout. You never pay anything upfront.

Minimum Prices

There are two, and they are set for different reasons.

A ticket starts at $5: volume across a room covers the transaction costs.

A boosted question starts at $10 because a single question has no volume to compensate with. At $5 the creator nets about $4 after the platform fee and card fees, which is less than the Creator plan costs; at $10 they net about $8.41, so one boosted question a month more than covers it.

Getting Paid

For a ticketed event, payouts are processed within 7 days after your session ends.

For a paid question, the same 7 days, counted from when you publish the answer rather than from when the asker paid. (Those are two separate clocks: the 7 days before an unanswered question refunds runs from payment, the 7 days until payout runs from publishing.)

Funds are deposited directly to your connected bank account via Stripe. You connect a Stripe account from your dashboard whenever you like - it is not required to turn paid questions on, only to collect what they earn.

Accepted Payment Methods

Any major credit or debit card, plus Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link. The same options apply to a paid question. All payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. You never see or handle card details.

Replay Access

Paid event ticket holders get extended replay access for up to 30 days after the live session.

Free-to-Watch Events

Free-to-watch events let your audience join at no cost to them. You cover the platform cost with a flat monthly subscription. No per-attendee charges, no surprise bills.

Plans

Pick a plan based on how often you run free-to-watch events and how big an audience you expect.

Creator is an answers-only plan: it lifts the free plan's monthly limit and unlocks paid questions, but includes no free events. If you only ever answer your ask page, this is the plan for you.

All plans include the full Q&A queue, chat moderation, replays, and the mobile app. Questions / month is the number described under Ask Page, and it only binds on the free plan.

Studio also includes simulcast to YouTube, LinkedIn, and more.

Paid ticket events do not count against your monthly free-event limit. They use the per-ticket 10% model described above and don't require a subscription.

Attendee Cap

Each plan with free-to-watch live events has a fixed peak-attendee cap per live event (25 on Starter, 50 on Workshop, 100 on Studio). When you reach the cap, registration and live join close automatically. Need more headroom? Run the same content as a paid ticket event: ticketed events have no attendee cap on any plan, including the free one, so selling tickets is the way to run a bigger room. Paid events use Stripe Connect and aren't capped by your subscription tier.

Monthly Event Limit

Each plan includes a set number of free-to-watch live events per month. Your allotment resets each month. If you hit the limit before the period ends, you can upgrade for the rest of that period or wait until renewal. Scheduling a draft doesn't count. Only events you actually go live with do.

Replay Access

Free event replay windows scale with your plan: 3 days (Starter), 7 days (Workshop), or 14 days (Studio). Paid event ticket holders always get up to 30 days regardless of any subscription.

Changing Plans

Switch tiers anytime from your billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately and prorate against your current period. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.

Managing Events

Changing Pricing Between Events

Each event can have its own pricing model. Run a free event to grow your audience, then monetize with paid tickets for premium content, or vice versa. You choose the model when creating each event.

Cancellations and Refunds

You can cancel scheduled events anytime before going live. For paid events, all ticket holders are automatically refunded in full. Note that Stripe's payment processing fees are non-refundable, so these costs will be deducted from your account.

Supported Countries

Viewers

Viewers can watch from anywhere in the world. Free-to-watch events are open to anyone. Paid events require a valid credit or debit card accepted by Stripe.

Creators

Ask pages and free-to-watch events work from anywhere. Hosting paid ticket events is available in 46+ countries where Stripe Connect is supported, including North America, most of Europe, and parts of Asia-Pacific including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
